Subdivision Strategies for displacement

This tutorial explains the differences between uniform and dynamic subdivision strategies for material displacement.

Displacement in the Material Editor offers a choice between three different subdivision strategies: dynamic, uniform or no subdivision. VUE 2016 and older legacy versions always used the dynamic option, but with the rewritten displacement in the current VUE version, different strategies make sense in different contexts.

In this tutorial, Barry Marshall will go through dynamic and uniform subdivision strategies and provide recommendations for each mode.
