French tamarisk
(Tamarix gallica)

from the southern coast of Europe and Mediterranean border

Tamarix gallica, the French tamarisk, grows as a big bush or as a small tree with up to 5 meters in height. It originates from mediterranean regions in Europe and North Africa. When cultivated, the tamarisk can be grown as an elegant little tree and is appreciated for its wispy blossoms.
