Sequoiadendron giganteum, the Giant Sequoia, is native from the Sierra Nevada mountains in California. It is one of the tallest trees on earth with a record of 87.2 meters high. The giant sequoia is undoubtfully the biggest producer of wood in volume. It is famous for its fat big straight orange trunk and can be found worldwide in temperate climates.
