Zantedeschia aethiopica, the white arum lily, is native to South Africa where it grows in swamps, riverbanks and pond borders. The arum lily is a big evergreen species which grows up to 1 meter in height. It is easily recognizable through its giant white trumpet-shaped flower which usually blooms in spring. Despite its African origin, Zantedeschia aethiopica is hardy enough to grow in a large range of climates, including warm temperate climates, where it is often used in gardening and landscaping.
