Beaucarnea recurvata, (syn Nolina recurvata) the elephant foot, is native to Mexico. The Beaucarnea recurvata grows up to 8 meters in height and is distinctive thanks to its a singular bottle trunk with a seamless elephant skin-like bark which then splits into slim trunk ramifications. The elephant foot is popular in urban design, small landscape and indoor decoration because of its unusual and archetypal silhouette.
