Chamerion angustifolium (syn Epilobium angustifolium), the fireweed, is a giant perennial which can grow up to 2.5 meters in height. It may be found pretty much everywhere in the Northern hemisphere, growing in fresh or cold areas. This amazing species blooms in giant pink panicles all summer long. It is iconic to any arctic and alpine scene. In North America, the fireweed is commonly associated with several lupine species.
