Pinus contorta var latifolia lone is a Rocky Mountain Lodgepole pine procedural mode, designed to represent the shape isolated specimens would grow into, should they grow unobstructed on grass lands, in the wild. The Lodgepole pine is commonly found in the NW of America and Canada, growing at an altitude of 450-3500 meters. A slim, medium-sized, and columnar pine, it grows to a height of around 30 meters, with some rare specimens reaching 45 meters. Due to its fast growth and ability to thrive in poor soil, Pinus contorta var latifolia is a suitable species for timber production.
