Pinus elliottii forest is a slash pine procedural vegetation model, designed to represent the growth shape of specimens growing in packed environments, such as forests. The slash pine, a common species in the subtropical zone of the SE coast of the US and bordering states, mainly in Florida, can grow in monospecific forests on sandy soil. Resistant to salt and wind, it can also be found along shores. Pinus elliottii is a small pine, averaging 25-30 meters tall with an umbrella-shaped canopy and an eye-catching orange bark. In Southern Brazil, it was introduced for forestry and became an invasive species due to its fast growth.
