Yucca elephantipes (syn Yucca gigantea), the spineless yucca, is a tall and ramified species native to Central America. It can grow up to 15 meters in height. It is mainly famous for its flared rooting structure, resembling the foot of an elephant through its shape and texture. It grows fast, is very scenic and easy to cultivate, resistant to cuts and manual pruning, and therefore a good candidate for landscapers and garden designers in tropical and mediterranean climates. It’s also a great indoor plant species.
