Variable colors in EcoSystems

Achieve more variety and realism in EcoSystems using procedural color patterns in materials of EcoSystem items.

VUE can assign random colors to EcoSystem items for a more natural and diversified appearance. There are several approaches you can take for this functionality, either within the EcoSystem population or within the materials of the EcoSystem items themselves. In this tutorial, you will learn how to achieve this using procedural color patterns in the material graphs of an EcoSystem item.

Note: This tutorial was recorded in a legacy version (VUE 2016). Most techniques shown here are still valid for the most recent version of VUE, but some parameters have changed since the recording and the interface has been redesigned.
