Calluna vulgaris light pink, is the closest model to the typical common heath species, a prolific species of acidophilous heaths in a wide variety of climates, from the seaside to altitudes of 2,500 m. It is found throughout Europe and in North Africa. It is also naturalized in North America. The various published parameters make it possible to create all the forms of the typical species, as well as a varied range of cultivars from 10 to 30 cm high, both spreading and upright, such as 'Autumn Glow', 'Dirry', 'Ginkel's Glory', 'Moon Glow', 'Ralph Purnell', 'Roswitha', 'Visser's Fancy' and 'Walter Ingwersen'.
