Archontophoenix alexandrae, the Alexander palm, is native to the North-East Australian rain forest. The Alexander palm can nonetheless adapt to many cultivation conditions and is well resistant when planted in gardens or urban landscapes. Its elegant silhouette and its moderate development make it one of the most popular palms in the world for tropical to sub-tropical climates. In nature, the Alexander palm can grow up to 30 meters in height, either as an isolated palm tree or in small groups.
