The Guzmania lingulata red, also known as the droophead tufted airplant or scarlet star, is a cultivated variety distinguished by its striking red-colored bracts. Guzmania lingulata, a small bromeliad species, is naturally found in the rainforests of Central America, northern and central South America, and southern Mexico. While it can grow in soil, it more frequently thrives as an epiphyte, attaching itself to the trunks and branches of trees. Interestingly, despite its jungle origins, the scarlet star has gained immense popularity as one of the world's most commonly sold indoor plants.
