Tillandsia usneoides, commonly known as Spanish moss, is an air plant that is widespread in the Southeastern USA, often found growing on various trees such as Virginia oak or bald cypress. Spanish moss is also prevalent in tropical forests throughout Central and South America. This bromeliad species is unique in its ability to form long, grey curtains that can extend several meters, hanging gracefully from branches, creating an incomparable and mysterious effect in jungle landscapes.
